Vital | Rejecting Quotes

This article discusses the new 'Reject' button on quotes, enabling customers to submit a rejection reason and provide feedback on unapproved quotes, with the aim of refining the quoting process.

Quote Rejection Through Email

When a customer receives a quote for approval, an additional option is now available to them. Upon clicking the Review quote button, a new tab will open where the customer contact can choose to either approve or reject the quote.

If the customer chooses to reject the quote, they will be required to enter a reason for rejection before clicking the Reject button once more.

Once submitted, you will receive a notification indicating that the quote has been rejected, along with the rejection reason. This notification will be sent to the reply-to email address configured under the Quote email settings.

The quote will also automatically move to the Archived quotes section. The rejection reason will also be visible there, allowing your team to review the feedback provided and take any necessary actions to refine future quoting processes.

Rejecting a quote via web

Rejecting a quote as an admin via the Vital portal will not prompt a rejection reason or trigger an email to your nominated address.

Restoring rejected quotes

Once a quote is rejected, it cannot be restored. A new one with the correct details must be created for the client.
